Delicious latte and really good desserts! The owner is so nice, I went with my grandfather and she knows him by his first name and knew who we were with him even though we'd never been. I love how she has samples of the day old goods to try. My mother in law had the chai latte and she loved it and I had a regular latte and it was made wonderfully.
The sandwiches are very basic though, which I think serves a lot of the clientele because there are quite a few older ladies and gentlemen that meet up here.
We would definitely go back for the coffee! Probably the best latte in the area. -

I popped in here again today for a coffee. I was so exhausted and in dire need of caffeine. I was the only person in there which meant instead of it being quiet, the owner and I had a great chat!
I ordered a breakfast muffin and an iced vanilla coffee. While waiting for my food we were chatting about kids and the lady kindly offered to introduce me to a young mom group that pops into here cafe each week. I thought it was very sweet of here to go out of her way to make me feel welcome.
The iced coffee was there fast and it hit the spot. It was even topped with whipped cream. The coffee itself was delicious and was exactly what I needed on a hot Wednesday morning after doing the school run!
The breakfast muffin consisted of an English muffin, bacon, egg, cheese and tomato. It was really nice and the tomato was a nice addition to the classic. Meant I didn't need ketchup and it kept the whole sandwich fresh. Totally set me up for the day! -

Really good service. Owner is very friendly. Baked goods are her own. Clearly she works hard and enjoys it. Edmontonians make sure this place succeed. This is Alberta business at it's finest.

A real treasure for coffee, cold beverages and relaxation in Gold Bar. In all fairness, the reviews I just read are not recent. The premise has changed hands and has a very delightful clean crisp atmosphere with new furnishings and other upgrades. The owner operator is a delightful hostess and goes the extra mile. On our visit today, we had the most delightful milk shakes. My friend commented "the best ever". Very busy with youngsters and people of all ages, both relaxing guests in the cozy seating areas and take away customers. Not a complaining senior in sight. Just us two old geezers who were both have no complaints and left with our cravings for gracious surroundings and a great afternoon treat satisfied.

A friend and I went to Blues Java for the first time this morning. The lady behind the counter was friendly. Our coffees were great, our cinnamon buns were just the right size and tasty. Will definitely return...
